Each disabled adult is assigned a volunteer whose sole purpose is to help take care of that one adult. Although there is a lot of cooperation, the fact that volunteers are assigned primarily to one disabled adult allows for the personalized assistance required by many of the adults. The cares received include assistance in the following areas: dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, transferring into bed or wheelchair, feeding and whatever else is necessary.

Facilities easily accessible by wheelchair.  The 402 acre wooded land the camp resides on is filled with numerous paved paths to provide as much access to wheelchair users as possible.

On a hot day you can expect a bit of a traffic jam at the pool as participants scramble for a cool dip.

Comfortable sleeping arrangements with an attendant nearby for those who need assistance during the night. The bathroom facilities are fully accessible including and a large roll-in shower.

Adaptive sports are always popular and competitive. Participants play football, hockey and baseball along with an occasional alternative sporting event. The week of sports is capped off with the competitive and prestigious annual 500 Tournament, where the winner is awarded the coveted traveling trophy.

Besides swimming and sports, trail rides in a tractor pulled accessible trailer are popular for nature enthusiasts and those just wanting to see some natural scenery. Last but not least, there are arts and crafts programs every day. Projects range from tie-dying to building bird houses. Participants can choose their own projects based upon the craft supplies available.

Evening entertainment involves programs like treasure hunts, lip sync, Comedy Sports, game shows, a visit from the Corvette Club, casino night, and every year the last night of camp involves a dance with a professional DJ.

Although there are many scheduled programs, people are free to pursue other activities like playing cards, board games, enjoying a camp fire or just finding a quite place to talk, think or even read a book. The programs are all voluntary and take place in a relaxed atmosphere.
